FAQs
Where can I see your most recent work?
I typically share behind the scenes and in progress photos first to my Instagram feed. Additionally, you’ll find recent work, inspiration and everyday life at @marcypenner
Do you offer prints?
I’ve decided to focus my practice on originals and interiors going forwards and will no longer be printing in-house. What’s in stock for prints is what there is so if you’re interested in an affordable print for your home be sure to grab one!
You can find in stock prints here.
Some things to note.
Our prints are printed with archival inks on canvas unless otherwise noted.
Reproduction images are either scanned or photographed to produce detailed and high quality prints. This captures the texture of the canvas to create a print that reflects the original.
Depending on the size of print you select portions of the original image may have been cropped to accommodate that specific ratio.
As well, color varies from computer screen to computer screen. We attempt to represent the color as accurately as possible.
Signed and dated in graphite on the back.
How often do you ship?
Currently I ship out artwork once a week.
How much is shipping?
Shipping within Canada and the continental United States is included in the cost of your painting. If you’re outside on this area please contact me for a shipping quote.
Can I pick up the artwork in person?
Sure thing. You’re more than welcome to pick up your art at my studio at the farmhouse. Studio visits are by appointment.
How will my art be shipped?
All original artwork will be packaged and sealed in a cardboard box with lots of padding to protect it on its journey.
Prints 8x10 and smaller are packaged in a plastic sleeve and shipped in a study flat mailer.
I’m currently looking into options for shipping out large pieces… in boxes, deconstructed and rolled, etc. I’d love to hear any input you might have on this option.
Artwork is shipped via Canada Post. We are currently using Expedited shipping for our canvases and orders typically arrive between 3-7 business days after they’ve been shipped. Please let me know if you would like your artwork to arrive sooner and we will make that happen for you.
Our website currently supports shipping for Canadian and American destinations. Please contact me if you’re interested in shipping your item to another country and I’ll add it to the list!
Note: International orders may be subject to additional taxes, handling fees and duties determined by other countries.
Can you / I reproduce the painting I purchased?
I retain the rights to the painting even after it is sold. All this means is that I have the option of recreating, reproducing and printing it if/when I desire to do so whereas you get to keep the original.
Do you do commissions?
I’m currently deep in an exploration phase but once I have a feel of where that’s going (and I figure out the logistics of shipping large pieces) I will be opening up commissions. Look for that to happen sometime early 2025.
Are all sales final?
Yes. I do everything I can to be transparent with my art and how it’s displayed online. I want you to love the art that you’ve purchased!
That said, please note that there can be differences in the colours between monitors, and so on. I try to photograph all my paintings in natural light and represent the colour as accurately as possible. If you’re requiring additional pictures of a piece you’re interested in just ask!
Additionally, I package your art very carefully but accidents do happen. If your artwork arrives damaged please contact me.
